Fabric Soft Top Maintenance Kit

Cleaner

Test on an inconspicuous area first to ensure your fabric roof is colourfast dyed. Never use a pressure washer to clean a fabric soft top.

1. Remove residual dirt with a clean, dry brush.
2. Dampen surface with sponge or spray mist.
3. Shake bottle well and pour into suitable container.
4. Apply with a clean 5cm (2”) paint brush using even strokes.
5. Start at the centre and work out towards the edge.
6. Leave for 10-20 minutes (up to an hour for heavily soiled surfaces)
7. Scrub with warm water and sponge, cloth, or bristle brush until the cleaner begins to lather, and dirt is being removed easily.
8. Rinse, and repeat if necessary.

Bird droppings and difficult stains

Dab or pour cleaner directly onto stain and work into the affected area. Leave for 30 mins and rinse. Repeat if necessary.

Colour protection

We recommend using Renovo Ultra Proofer to prolong the life of the new restored colour. Allow a good 24 hours to dry first.

Ultra Proofer

Before use

We recommend using Renovo Fabric Soft Top Cleaner to thoroughly clean your soft top. Test on an inconspicuous area first to ensure your fabric roof is colourfast dyed.

How to use

1. Remove loose dust and dirt from your soft top with a dry brush.
2. Pour into a suitable container, and stir well (do not shake bottle first).
3. Using a 5cm (2”) paint brush, apply to the centre of soft top and quickly move towards the edges, ensuring the fabric is thoroughly wet.
4. Wipe excess drips from paintwork, trims, and glass with a damp cloth.
5. Clean brush in warm, soapy water.

Multiple coats

Ensure soft top is thoroughly dry between coats. For best results, ensure you have sufficient product to complete a coat before you start.

Drying time

Typically three hours, subject to ambient conditions. Do not take car out in wet weather until completely dry.

Maintenance

For optimal protection we recommend applying every six months.

Plastic Window Polish

Before use

Ensure window is clean and free from dust by washing with a soft cloth and warm water. Do not use cleaning detergents on plastic windows.

How to use

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly.
2. Apply using a soft, clean polishing cloth or duster.
3. Use small quantities of polish frequently, avoiding large amounts at once.
4. Work in circular motions, focusing on small areas at a time.
5. Apply more pressure on scratched areas.
6. Allow to dry, then remove using a new soft, clean polishing cloth or duster, using circular movements.
7. For best results, treat both sides of each window.

Note

Not suitable for use on glass. Avoid contact with surrounding materials or fabric.

Renovo Plastic Window Polish will not remove clarity defects within the plastic but will help reduce surface scratches and yellowing.

Maintenance

Apply on a regular basis; the more you use it the more effective it is.

Not for use on vinyl roofs – use Renovo Vinyl Soft Top Cleaner and Vinyl Soft Top Ultra Proofer.

For best results ensure you follow product label instructions.

Do not apply in direct sunlight or on particularly hot days as this may cause product to dry too quickly resulting in uneven results.

Avoid prolonged contact with skin. We recommend use of protective gloves whilst applying.

Coverage varies subject to age and condition of substrate.

Do not dilute or mix with other products.

Store in a cool place out of direct sunlight. Do not store at a temperature below 0°C (32°F).
