Vinyl Soft Top Maintenance Kit

Cleaner

Before use

Test on an inconspicuous area first to ensure vinyl is colourfast dyed. Never use a pressure washer on your soft top. This product is not suitable for use on fabric soft tops.

Normal Cleaning

1. Shake bottle well and pour into suitable container.
2. Apply with a clean 5cm (2") paint brush using even strokes. Start at the centre of the cover and work towards the edge.
3. Leave for 10 to 20 minutes (less for a quick clean) to allow cleaner to penetrate stubborn grime and stains.
4. Scrub with warm water and a sponge, cloth, or bristle brush until cleaner begins to lather and dirt is visibly being lifted.
5. Rinse with water.
6. Repeat if necessary.

Heavily soiled surfaces

As above but leave the solution on for up to 40 minutes and use a bristle brush for more scrubbing power.

Bird droppings and difficult stains

Dab cleaner directly onto stain and massage in. Clean off after 30 mins. Repeat if necessary.

Maintenance

Once dry, protect your vinyl soft top with Renovo Vinyl Protector. For best results, use every six months.

Ultra Proofer

Before use

We recommend using Renovo Vinyl Soft Top Cleaner to thoroughly clean your soft top. Ensure your vinyl soft top is thoroughly dry, and you have sufficient product to complete a full coat.

How to use

1. Remove loose dust and dirt from your soft top with a dry brush.
2. Shake bottle thoroughly and pour a suitable container or bowl.
3. Using a 2cm (2”) paint brush, apply to the centre of soft top and work out towards the edges with a using even strokes.
4. If preferred, can be rubbed into the soft top using a sponge.
5. Wipe excess drips from paintwork, trims, and glass with a soft, damp cloth (do not allow to dry on glass and paintwork).
6. Clean brush in warm, soapy water.

Drying time

Drying time will vary with ambient conditions, ranging from half an hour to a few hours. Do not take car out in wet weather until completely dry.

Plastic Window Polish

Before use

Ensure window is clean and free from dust by washing with a soft cloth and warm water. Do not use cleaning detergents on plastic windows.

How to use

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly.
2. Apply using a soft, clean polishing cloth or duster.
3. Use small quantities of polish frequently, avoiding large amounts at once.
4. Work in circular motions, focusing on small areas at a time.
5. Apply more pressure on scratched areas.
6. Allow to dry, then remove using a new soft, clean polishing cloth or duster, using circular movements.
7. For best results, treat both sides of each window.

Note

Not suitable for use on glass. Avoid contact with surrounding materials or fabric.

Renovo Plastic Window Polish will not remove clarity defects within the plastic but will help reduce surface scratches and yellowing.

Maintenance

Apply on a regular basis; the more you use it the more effective it is.

Not for use on fabric soft tops – use Renovo Fabric Soft Top Cleaner and Ultra Proofer.

For best results ensure you follow product label instructions.

Do not apply in direct sunlight or on particularly hot days as this may cause product to dry too quickly resulting in uneven results.

Avoid prolonged contact with skin. We recommend use of protective gloves whilst applying.

Do not dilute or mix with other products.

Store in a cool place out of direct sunlight. Do not store at a temperature below 0°C (32°F).
